March offers no downtime. To all of you One Longfellow attendees, thank you. You made for an entertaining night.

Our upcoming forays include a live radio event and a few shows (easy ones, all local). It's rather vague at the moment.

Also, I'm posting a new track here this week.

It worked out. A bit of beer to ease the tedium of reading something for the umpteenth time.

In a few weeks, we'll have the first batches heading to the lovely folks in the media. I've been traveling quite a bit. Some radio stuff, some publicity and the like. A few shows are in the booking process.

Pinning down dates in France has proven to be difficult. Not as tough as Boston though.

I bumped into Pete Morse, the producer of We Are Revealed, yesterday at his new studio space. It's in an old train station. It's all very fresh and regal and coming along nicely. His band just won a contest. He seemed happy.

As an aside, I'm reworking parts of the book. There was an issue with the publisher and things had to be retooled due to the page sizes.

The fun thing is that the new publisher uses a larger page format. 🙂

I did have an idea for the new CD's packaging though. I don't want to whisper anything yet though. It's a lot of work and it may not happen.

The cover photography from Christophe is beautiful.

The first video is underway too...at least in the planning stages. I'll have more on that soon. I now have to travel 1200 miles in a day.

El Cid has already started to show up on some airwaves. There's a push by my Clip deputies to get it out to some unnamed, mysterious lands.

If you're the sheriff of one of those mysterious, unnamed lands, please step forward and claim a prize! From me. Seriously. Not sure what it is yet though.

A silver badge?

The second single is slated for airplay a month from now. I don't know the date exact yet. I recorded a backstage version of the song for Pop Culture Monster and it was posted on YouTube a few weeks ago. The CD version differs quite a bit. We'll have updates on Twitter when it's available. Both tracks should be up on MySpace at some point.

The Make Our Video Contest response was really great. Due to an issue with some ad timings, Clip extended the contest through Nov. 30th. If you're a speedy filmmaker, there's still time. 🙂

And this brings me to this update...in bullet format.

• The video contest from Clip Records ends on November 12th. The response has been great. If you're entering, thank you. Can't wait to see. I'm crazy impatient about this event. 🙂
• The next show is at the Big Easy in Portland with Benjamin Burgess and other guests. It's a Friday night at 8PM. October 29th.
• The French photographer Christophe Garnier did the album art for the upcoming CD. He deserves a lot of praise. The images are perfect. Take a look at his site.
• I'll be recording several YouTube videos of cover songs. I'm focusing on songs that I always wanted to hear stripped down. So far, Depeche Mode and Pink Floyd are under consideration. If you have any great ideas, send me a tweet.
• The first CD has officially sold out and Clip Records is currently ordering another pressing. The Limited Edition versions have been long gone, but I'm calling this new batch the Constrained Edition.
• Thanks to everyone who has been listening. I genuinely am humbled.
