If you've never heard of Kino Proby, they're a cover band that I first caught in the early 2000s. They play raucously fun covers of Viktor Tsoi's 80s Russian punk band Kino. You must go.

We're playing a show in Portland this week to support our friend Will Gattis. He has a new CD coming out--brilliant as always--and we're lucky to be able to celebrate it with him.

The show is at Empire in Portland, ME. Starts at 9PM. Tickets are $7 at the door.

Timmy is surfing in California so it'll be Al and I doing our our best Death from Above 1979 impression.

A few people (okay 2) have asked for a re-release of some of the old Pola songs (circa 1999-2001).

Pola was a project of mine that I started before There Is No Sin (a few years after Einstein). We put out a few self-made CDs. It was very humble and didn't really go anywhere.

The song below, "Markers On The Table," was on a 2001 EP simply titled "Pola." It was loose collective of musicians centered around Kevin McDermott and myself.

2. Said video will be shown during the set.
3. Old Soul, one of Portland's favorite indie folk bands, will be starting.
